Business & Customer Management Graduate Scheme

Why join EDF Energy?

Every company claims to care for their customers. After all, without customers, businesses simply couldn't exist. However, we firmly believe – and this is a view that is championed at the very top of EDF Energy – that few companies have as strong a focus on their customers as we do.

It's a bold claim, but we've much to back it up. We've won many awards for our customer service. We hold contracts with major multinational businesses. We have strong relationships with airports and transport networks. We're also a thought leader: we were the first to reward customers for saving energy; we’ve established clearer bills; and we even have a fund that ensures that disadvantaged or 'energy-poor' people can still benefit from our power.

Ours is a diverse business, serving a diverse customer base. And it's constantly changing. What will that mean for our Customers Branch graduates? It means you'll be exposed to a range of disciplines and functions. It means you'll build up a great deal of knowledge. It also means that your ideas and your fresh perspective will truly be welcomed. For people who are proactive, enthusiastic and willing to challenge the status quo, there's tremendous potential to make an impact.

What will you be doing?

You'll experience four six-monthly placements across various departments here, covering a variety of management competencies and building up your skills in project management, leadership and continuous improvement strategies.

In each placement, you'll work closely with senior managers and people from all over the business. You'll attend and run meetings; you'll be involved in running projects; you'll tackle analysis, create reports and make presentations. You may also experience placements in other parts of the business – such as Finance, Marketing or even Field Sales.
