Where you fit in
Customers is our largest branch, with over 6,000 employees across the UK. Essentially, we sell electricity and gas to a whole range of customers – from individual houses through to pan-European companies. We've major contracts here with Canary Wharf, the DLR and the Channel Tunnel, and some of business's best-known names, such as Tesco, Topshop and Next, rely on us for their energy across many different sites. We’ve even powered high profile events, like the Queen’s Jubilee, Wimbledon, Fame Academy and other TV shows.
In other words, it's a tremendously varied – and important – area to our business. Our remit is to provide customer service (through our many award-winning contact centres nationwide); to expand our customer base through our sales team; and to develop new services and offers to keep our customers contented. We also have Finance and HR teams dedicated to this area of the business.
